Technical Artist

Job Description

We’re looking for a talented Technical Artist to help us visualize and execute imaginary creatives that will engage with our audience and to dream up new ideas that will reach millions around the world. In this role, you will be working in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment with some of the most creative minds in the industry. You will be working with our product, art, and technical teams to produce cutting-edge environments and visual elements for our products. Alongside our games, you will be growing as a technical artist and as a team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop highly optimized art assets, particle effects, and animation systems;
  • Analyze memory and performance concerns throughout a project's development;
  • Integrating creative assets (art and visual effects) into the game, primarily through the use of Unity, without sacrificing artistic vision or exceeding the platform’s technical limits;
  • Optimizing workflow using tools and scripts so each discipline can focus on their core contribution
  • Contribute to technical solutions and pipeline design for the production and delivery of art assets - to help leverage our technology
  • Working closely with product teams, engineering teams, and all artists

Requirements

  • Knowledge in 2D Animation, Unity, and Photoshop. 
  • Work experience in Unity or ability to undergo Unity training
  • Knowledge in writing shaders and scripts in Unity is a plus
  • The ability to customize and optimize art assets
  • A keen eye for color, light, shade, form
  • Deep understanding of the mobile platforms and their specific requirements.
